STORY: Following Raj, a 21-year-old Indian-American who reluctantly starts working at his family's grocery store, he faces his father's harsh expectations and bullying from Sardar, another employee at the store. Under the weight of his father's strict rules and family obligations, Raj finds comfort in Pinky, a lively young woman from a nearby sweet shop who offers him moments of closeness and understanding. The story explores the generational conflict between traditional values and modern aspirations as Raj navigates his identity, dreams, and the challenges imposed by his father. The narrative delves into themes of tradition versus modernity, the immigrant experience, and the quest for self-determination.
